Is there a better time-wasting tool than the internet? No, no there is not. Take this house (above) for example, it's for sale, it's dreamy and I stared at it for 45 minutes. In that time I moved in, rearranged the furniture and decided that the one thing I'd keep is that amazing pop of color on the wall (I think it's Gary Baseman whom I really enjoy on Instagram).

Of course, being a Swede, pops of color are the easiest way for me to hop on an express train to Happytown. Give me a white background with bright bits of brilliance and I could pretty much live anywhere. Below, you'll see one of my favorite pops of color from my own living room. Yup, the almost life-size, neon sheep that lives on my hearth is from the brand Twoolies. These animals are handmade by Mayan weavers in Mexico and just beautiful. I bought this guy back when I had my store (oof, I do miss the days of buying items wholesale) and I think he would probably set you back $500. In my opinion, for something one-of-a-kind and fair trade, it's totally worth it.

Next to the sheep is a pinata from Target and they actually have a decent selection of party goods. The tiny pic stuck to the whale print on the mantle is my brother and I wearing the same t-shirts that we wore when we met Abba. True story!!!!! Photo: Reuben E Reynoso

Here are three of my other favorite pops of color. It brings new meaning to the terms "cheap and cheerful".

Mexican serape blankets; you can't have enough of them! I have one on the backseat of my car, one at the foot of my bed and one in my living room.

Vintage Cathrineholm kitchenware from Norway. It's all over Ebay and my stove.

I never met a pom pom (or pom pon depending on where you're from) that I didn't like. May I suggest you put them on everything just like Eliza Gran does here with her baskets and home goods.
