Is there a better time-wasting tool than the internet? No, no there is not. Take this house (above) for example, it's for sale, it's dreamy and I stared at it for 45 minutes. In that time I moved in, rearranged the furniture and decided that the one thing I'd keep is that amazing pop of color on the wall (I think it's Gary Baseman whom I really enjoy on Instagram).

It took me a while to become friends with you. Even though you’re the brightest bulb on the color wheel, I hung out with blue and green way more. I’m a Swede who lives in the Silver Lake part of Los Angeles. I like my design functional with oodles of color, never met a pompom I didn’t like, could quite happily road-test lipgloss for the rest of my life and am on the constant search for the perfect T-shirt. I was a magazine editor for 15 years, wrote a bunch of books that gave teen girls more beauty tips than they’ll ever need and owned a design store…not all at the same time.
Current obsessions: Chola-girl eyeliner, Clare V. french T-shirts, leaving chia seeds in plain yogurt overnight so it turns into pudding and the CVT soft serve ice cream truck. This will change, I can be fickle.
